Amazon Catalog Discrepancies and ASIN Mismatches
Understand how to resolve data conflicts when your product information differs from existing Amazon catalog records.
Occasionally, you may provide the correct product barcode while sending attributes that conflict with Amazon's existing catalog data. For example, your catalog might list the accessory manufacturer as your own brand, whereas another seller's listing for the exact same barcode specifies the official manufacturer.
Conflict Resolution and Behavior
When attribute mismatches occur against an existing ASIN, Talk2sync handles the scenario through automated fallback mechanisms and catalog alignment.
- Automated Value Suggestions: In certain cases, Talk2sync will automatically retry uploading the product data using values suggested by Amazon. However, this fallback mechanism cannot resolve every conflict automatically.
- Manual Catalog Correction: If automated alignment fails, you are encouraged to update and configure the correct attribute values directly within your products to prevent recurring listing errors and synchronization rejections.
