Equivalences
Records in Talk2Sync are multidimensional. This means that a sales order can have from zero to many equivalences, where each equivalence represents an order associated with a specific connection through its connection-specific ID.
An order can therefore have multiple equivalences associated with different connections. However, each individual equivalence belongs to one connection only.
Multidimensional Orders
When a sales order in Talk2Sync is multidimensional, it can be understood as a group of representations or instances of the same logical order that coexist across different platforms.
Each representation may have its own:
- Order ID
- Field values
- Platform-specific data
- Data structure
Even when these representations differ between platforms, they refer to the same logical sales order.
Equivalences and Connections
The relationship between orders, equivalences, and connections follows these principles:
- A sales order can have zero to many equivalences.
- Multiple equivalences can belong to different connections.
- An individual equivalence cannot belong to multiple connections.
This model allows Talk2Sync to associate the same logical sales order across multiple platforms while preserving the identifiers and representation used by each connection.
